A-England To Emily Bronte Collection Swatches

A-England’s latest collection is dedicated to Emily Brontë, author of the world famous novel, Wuthering Heights. I’ve never read the book but have been picking up on references to Cathy and Heathcliff since I was little thanks to the Kate Bush song of the same name. We used to watch a lot of Top of the Pops 2 in my house!

I have swatches of the whole collection today and you will have already seen some of the shades popping up in my nail art recently. Of the five polishes, we have 2 bold holos (Let Me In and Spirit of the Moors), 2 creamy holos (Cathy and Wuthering Heights) and a multi-glitter in jelly (Heathcliff). All of them apply like a dream and are such regal colours which exactly what I’ve come to expect from A-England.

Spell Polish Pirate Swatch & Giveaway

Today’s post is quite an exciting one, I’ve got a swatch of Spell Polish Pirate and a great giveaway to go along with it. First thing’s first… Pirate!

Pirate is a glitter topper that’s right up my street with various sizes of blue hex and some silver micro glitter and green hexes. There are also larger ‘clubs’ and dots sprinkled through the bottle. For this swatch I used one coat of Pirate over Barry M Elderberry with top coat.

Glitter payoff is great and I’m really impressed at how evenly the glitter is distributed on the nails. There was no sign of clumping or bare patches that I had to go back and fix later, just a perfectly smooth application. Although it doesn’t bother me too much, it’s worth mentioning that the smell is on the strong side but Heather, Spell Polish’s creator, has let me know that the scent is being phased out for something a bit less pungent.

Nail Polish Giveaway: Polish for Life

Today’s post is something a bit out of the ordinary but bear with me here, it will be worth it! A little while back, I had an email from a a fellow nail polish lover with an interesting request. Her name is Emma and she’s been battling cancer. Unfortunately she’s just been told that has she only has months left. Over the years, she’s been lovingly curating an incredible collection of nail polish and when she passes away, she wants it to go to a new home where someone will love it just as much as she does!

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Emma a few times as she only lives 20 minutes away from me and I was completely stunned by her collection of nail polish. I’ve never seen so much glitter in my life! This collection is truly a sight to behold. I could have stayed there all day photographing the polishes but I had to refrain and just pick out a handful of my personal favourites to show you.

The collection is in excess of 550 polishes, and includes, but is not limited to polishes from the following brands

I know that this is not the kind of giveaway you see every day so if anyone has any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Things you need to know

You must be 18 years or older to enter

Before entering, please be aware that the prize must be collected in person from a residential address in the South West once Emma has passed away. If you are unable to collect the polishes, please don’t enter the giveaway.
This is a used collection of nail polish. Some bottles have been used only once and others have more product used up.
The winner will be selected by Emma based on the response included in their entry. Please appreciate and understand that this is not a ‘selected at random’ kind of giveaway. This is a very special and valuable prize so it must go to someone that will treat it with care and respect.
