Disney Hero coming soon but for now, here’s a video in which I show you my stamping plates and how I store them.
I’ve been having technical issues so I restored my computer to factory settings today. This means I’m back to square one – no software and no files. However, I’m not totally clueless and I did back everything up first, it’s just gonna take a while for normal working conditions to resume! First priority is Photoshop so fingers crosssed I’ll be able to post some nails tonight!
Here is Part 2 of the answers from the Q and A. If you didn’t see Part 1 from yesterday, you can see that post here. It doesn’t really matter which order you watch them in but Part 1 has the intro and Part 2 has the outtro!
This second video has all the answers to answers to the remaining questions left on the Q and A post. The topics covered in Part 2 are Nail Polish, Nail Care and Other questions.
What did you think of the Q and A? Would you like another one in the future?
This week I finally got my hands on a new camcorder after my last one broke halfway through filming! I’m still such a video rookie. This video took half a day to film and much longer to edit. YouTube is so much harder than the pros make it look!
The video below contains the answers to some of the questions left in the Q and A post from back in May. I split the questions in to categories, just to add a bit of structure, because there were so many. I’ve had to split it in to two videos because I talk way too much! The first, this one, contains Nail Art and Equipment questions and I’ll soon be uploading the second which will answer the Nail Polish, Nail Care and Other questions.
A few months ago, I opened my Etsy shop and started selling decorated nail sets to raise money for a decent video camera. I ended up buying a Panasonic HX DC10 and I’m really impressed with the quality, considering it was quite a bargain at £139.
So here’s the first video I’ve made with it! It’s just a super quick tutorial that will hopefully answer any questions people have been asking about how I apply rhinestones to my manicures. I apply studs, fimo and bullion in the same way but sometimes I might use pliers or a toothpick to place them instead of a brush.
Thank you for the amazing feedback on my last post! A lot of you requested a tutorial so here you go!
I had a great time camping but had to trim my nails a bit because they kept breaking from all the manual work! I quite like them short but since I’ve been doing more freehand nail art, it helps to have a bigger canvas so I’m hoping they’ll grow back quite quickly.
I’m starting a new job this week so I don’t know how often I’ll be able to blog. I’m hoping regularly but we’ll see how it goes.
I made a new video today to demonstrate the basics of Konad. I know I already made one but I took it down because I just hated it. The lighting was terrible and it was in 4:3 so the video was squashed and OMG I CAN’T HANDLE THAT KIND OF IMPERFECTION!
Phew! So yeah, in case you didn’t notice I am a bit of a perfectionist and this video is way more up to standard.
So please… watch, enjoy and leave some feedback if you have the time!
Also, if anyone’s interested I made my first make-up tutorial yesterday! It’s called ‘How To: Perfect Winged Eyeliner in Less than Two Minutes’ and it’s just a very quick video of me applying my eyeliner for anyone that was curious about my technique. If you’re interested you can watch that here or on my channel. I’m working on more detailed tutorials but I still haven’t decided whether I will be talking in any videos!
Exciting news! I am now on YouTube! I uploaded my first video a few days ago and plan to make plenty more. The plan is to do nail and EOTD tutorials on occasion. I’m not making any kind of commitment to making videos and this blog will still be my priority, videos will just be something fun on the side.
Branching out to YouTube is something I’ve been meaning to do for a long time although I never had the equipment before. Now that I’m home for the summer, I can use my Dad’s camcorder!
So here is my first video! It’s a short step-by-step of Konadding. When people ask me how I get the designs on my nails, I struggle to explain and I’ve been searching for a short and sweet video showing the absolute basics of the process but I can’t find one so I just decided to make my own.
I know the lighting is bad but as with anything, it’s all a learning process and I’m sure my videos will improve with time and practice.
EDIT: I have now removed the video from YouTube but fear not… I made a better one! You can see it here.
Does anyone have any requests for videos they would like to see from me? Any particular looks that you are wondering how to recreate? I have a few ideas but I’d love to do stuff that you guys actually want to see. Please leave any suggestions in the comments or get in touch on Twitter 😀 Thank you!
