So here’s something a little different from me today… a makeup look! With Halloween less than week away, I wanted to get in a trial run before the big night. My look is a pared back version of Brianna Fox’s Skeleton Tutorial from last year which I’ve included below – seriously worth watching her amaze tutorials! On the night, I will include the cracks, add some false eyelashes and spend a bit more time blending the shades around my eyes for a little extra glam. I also think there’s a bit of room for improvement on my ‘teeth’!
The whole thing took 1h 15m (not much longer than I would normally spend doing my makeup for a night out) and I literally can’t wait to go for round 2. I’ve included a list of the products I used below. Luckily I had most of it sitting around in my collection already anyway but I had a few extra things to pick up. I googled ‘white foundation’ because I didn’t want to be caked in facepaint if I could avoid it. The first result was the Lightening Drops from The Body Shop which I’ve been curious about for a while anyway. It’s a great lightweight alternative to white face paint; if a little less stark and dramatic. Just make sure you use a (translucent or HD) setting powder to stop it sliding around.
I also have to recommend NYX Raven which is a crazy pigmented, blendable matte black eyeshadow. You can pick up the single for £3.50 in bigger Boots stores.
