    Shake Me Down

Sorry I haven’t properly got back in to my blogging routine yet. I though that once I finished my exams I would be back to posting regularly but things are still very hectic. Anyway, I’m sure you’re tired of hearing my excuses so I won’t give you any more. Just know that I’m slowly but surely getting my blog-mentum back!

    Legless

Today has been a very busy and exciting day. I got my car back on the road today after 6 months of relying on my feet, public transport and parents to get around! I don’t mind walking everywhere, in fact I’ve grown to quite enjoy it and still plan to walk as much as I can, but it’s really nice to know that I can just hop in the car whenever I feel like it and go wherever I want. I really missed that freedom when I was pedestrianised!
I set out with plate BM214 planning to use the Stag design as Emily requested on a recent post. However, the Stags came out looking like vertically challenged cows! I couldn’t get the horns or legs to stick to my stamper. This could just be my stamper because it has been a bit uncooperative of late but it could also be that the design is just too fiddly. I’d love to know if anyone’s tried this design yet and found the same as me, or whether it’s just something I’m doing that’s making it go wrong.
So I moved on to another pattern from the plate – this celtic, swirly design. I kind of struggled to think of original ways to use it at first but I like the ornate way it turned out.

    Barry M Raspberry

My mouth has been annoying me recently. My wisdom teeth have been causing me trouble on and off for years now but I’ve always just done my best to ignore it and wait for it to pass. I know I should really go to the dentist but I know they’re gonna say I need them out and I hate getting anaesthetic, doesn’t everyone?
Anyway, my whole jaw has been aching for a few days now and I hate it but I’m handling it like a boss!
I used a different camera for these two pictures and they’ve come out totally different colours! The first is most colour accurate but I love the second one because it looks so sunny and it’s nice to be reminded at this time of year that the sun still exists.

Half Moon, Silver, Pearls, Red. And GIVEAWAY NEWS

I really like this manicure. It was very spur of the moment. I painted my nails this gorgeous Berry Pink base colour which for some reason I’ve never used before, then just decided to keep adding to it!
    I used:
Base Colour: It has no name but it came in the Miners Berry Collection.
    Half-Moon: Collection 2000 Moonlight Shine
Line: Stargazer White applied with a paintbrush
Pearls stuck on with Miss Sporty Top Coat
A top coat of NYC In A New York Minute

In other news, it’s been a while since I started stashing goodies for my next giveaway and I will give you a sneak peek at them today. I think I will start the giveaway to celebrate 300 followers. As with the last giveaway, anyone who is a follower before the giveaway opens will get an extra entry when they put their name down!

    More Stickers

Here are some more nail stickers from Viva La Nails over Barry M Raspberry. There is a random sequin on my index finger there! It must have got stuck to my nails when I was rummaging round in my supplies.
These stickers look amazing and I gave them a fairly good review a few weeks ago but I think I’ve changed my mind after wearing them.
With these particular stickers, the silver wore off to reveal black underneath after just a few hours.
They are also a nightmare to remove. They won’t come off in one piece once you’ve applied a top coat so you have to literally scratch them off in little pieces.
I’ll be sticking to water decals in the future which remove easily with a bit of Nail Varnish Remover.
