3 Super Simple, 2 Shade Christmas Nail Art Looks

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… if you like bad weather, busy roads and being forced to listen to Christmas music in every public space! I know I can be a bit of a scrooge, but I do love Christmas time really. Admittedly, highlights of the season for me are all the delicious cooked dinners, socially acceptable day drinking and of course… the Christmas nail art!

I’ve put together three looks that are perfect for any Christmas occasion. All three looks only use two shades of nail polish and basic nail art tools so they’re quick and easy to achieve on any budget.

Now you know I like to keep it classy so there’s nothing too flashy – although I have been spending a lot of time browsing through the crazy glitter collection at Ellisons so you will see a fair bit of the sparkly stuff. Now that we’re into November, I feel like it’s acceptable to start raving about Autumn/Winter everything. Starting with the latest additions to the Barry M Coconut Infusions range: the first AW collection that actually got me excited. When I laid my eyes upon it, I was immediately taken by the range of shades and just thought, ‘YES. Yes. THIS is a winter collection’. We’ve seen bolds a plenty and berry shades have started to leave a sour taste in my mouth. But a whole collection of muted tones (I’m conveniently ignoring the obligatory bold red) is something at least slightly less done. Read more

Barry M’s Coconut Infusion Collection is a new range of 9 polishes ‘infused with Coconut Water and Coconut Oil’ which supposedly care for your nails while they look pretty too!

While I haven’t worn these consistently enough to report on whether they made a difference to my nail health, I do like the range of colours and think it’s a great release for Summer.

Did you hear? Minimalism and marble are totally in right now and, let me tell you… I’ve been comfortably seated on that bandwagon for a while!

I spent a while last year trying to figure out a way to create the marble effect on nails that was simple, didn’t require too many tools and wasn’t freehanding. Of course, marble is one of mother nature’s creations so I had in mind something that didn’t look too thought out; a little messy and unpredictable but with that certain understated elegance. Every week, an email drops into my inbox with the sole intention to tempt me to buy the latest MoYou releases. Normally this is an exercise in restraint for me because face it, we all want ALL of the MoYou plates, but last week I just couldn’t help myself.
