    Girly Bits Cosmic Ocean Swatch

This beauty is Cosmic Ocean from Pam’s Girly Bits. It’s a colour shifting which flashes between blue and green depending on the angle of light!
I’m always fascinated polishes like these. HOW can they change colour like that? I’m sure there is some science involved – something to do with reflection or refraction or another concept equally mind boggling to me – but I don’t need to understand. For now I’ll just accept that science makes for pretty polish!

This is definitely a polish for layering and it works best over blue shades. I have no complaints about the formula of this polish. One coat applied effortlessly with great coverage and it dries very quickly.

You can buy this shade in a 15ml bottle for $11.50 or a mini 5ml bottle at $7

A-England The Legend: Saint George Swatch

As I mentioned on the weekend, I was saving my favourite pick from The Legend collection to show you last. This beauty is Saint George – a combination of turquoise, emerald and teal and ZOMG, it’s a holographic! I knew as soon as I saw previews of this collection that this colour would have a special place in my heart and it’s now one of my favourite polishes ever.

The colour shifts from deep teal indoors to a sparkly turquoise when you see it in the sun thanks to all the sparkly holo particles that come out in the natural light. I truly can’t get over how exquisite this polish is. There’s no doubt that Adina, the womanpower behind A-England, is a polish goddess.

A-England The Legend: Princess Sabra Swatch

I won’t say too much about this polish. It applies like dream in two coats like all the holographics from The Legend collection. It’s close to a nude shade but slightly more yellow than beige if you know what I mean. I’ve been saving my favourite colour from The Legend collection to show last so that will be posted very soon. It is pure beauty in a bottle. Can you guess which one it is?!

A-England The Legend: Princess Tears Swatch

I don’t know if anyone noticed but I made a huge mistake in yesterdays post. Well technically the whole post was a mistake because it was a Pink Wednesday post and yesterday was a Thursday. I spent the whole day going about my business wholeheartedly believing it was Wednesday and it wasn’t until I was lying in bed that I realised I’d made a huge mistake.
Moving swiftly on! Today’s swatch is of A-England‘s Princess Tears from the holographic collection – The Legend. This is a lilac purple with glints of pastel holo. This is one of my favourites of the collection (from the ones I own anyway) because it’s so pretty and easy to wear and once you get it in the sunlight it’s completely mesmerising.

Give ‘Em The Old Razzle Dazzle

I’ve been digitally absent for a few days bar the occasional tweet and it was nice to have a little break from my online commitments but I’m back with a vengeance and I have so many new polishes to show you.
It’s a Wednesday which of course means pink!! This pretty pink glitter is Pam of Girly Bits‘ creation. Pam started out as a nail blogger and has taken her hobby one step further and set about mixing all the colours she’d been dreaming of owning but couldn’t find on the shelves.
The polish I’m using today is called Razzle Dazzle and it’s a pink jelly filled with pink and purple glitter. It works best for layering but three coats gives good enough coverage to wear it on its own.

Pam’s shop will be reopening on February 25th with her new collection and all previously available polishes will also be for sale. You can order them directly from Pam, all the information is here.

A-England The Legend: Bridal Veil Swatch

Bridal Veil is another holographic polish from A-England‘s Legend collection. It’s a black holo and these pictures absolutely suck at showing it’s holo-ness!
In sunlight this polish gleams with emerald green and more subtle hints of every other colour on the spectrum.  As you can see, under artificial light it looks like a glass flecked black. B-E-A-Utiful!
I’ve noticed that clicking pictures, in chrome at least, brings up a kind of slideshow which is a cool new feature but the pictures are still not very big. If you want to see the highest resolution picture possible, you can right-click on the picture in the post and select ‘Open link in new tab’, ‘Open link in new window’ or ‘Open image in new tab’ and you should be presented with a much bigger picture. I hope this info comes in handy for anyone that didn’t know, and it will work on most blogs and websites.

    A-England The Legend: Dragon Swatch

A-England’s ‘The Legend’ collection is a very hotly anticipated collection of 7 holographic polishes which finally went on sale this month. The colours in this collection were brought to life by Adina – the heart and soul of the brand – with just as much passion and care as The Mythicals collection.
I have a few colours from this collection to share with you this week and first on the list is Dragon – an earthy green holographic.

Sorry for the artificial light pictures but sunlight is hard to come by in Britain in the early months. In natural light, the holographic effect is much more obvious.

The Legend collection is available now from a-england.co.uk with free worldwide shipping.
