    EOTD: FrontCover Moondust Collection

It’s been months since I posted an EOTD but with it being Christmas and me being a beauty obsessed blogger, it was inevitable that I’d pick up some amazing new make-up this week!
These pigments are from a gift set that I bought in the Boots sale on boxing day. I always look forward to Boots’ Christmas sale because I know I’ll be able to find some absolute bargains on the FrontCover sets. This year, I’d already decided that I wanted the Moondust set and I picked it up for half price at £8.
I normally steer well clear of loose pigments because I hate the fallout and the way the shimmer always seems to end up all over my face, hands and clothes! But these were too beautiful to leave on the shelf and I’m so glad I took the plunge!
I used Saddle brown on the outer half of my lid, then blended Lime Lime into the inner corner and underneath. Then I used Burnt Carrot on the outer edge and underneath my lower lashes.
The eyeliner is E.L.F’s Cream Eyeliner in black and the eyelashes are some cheapies I found in my lashbox!

Meet EOTD and NOTD. They’re twins!

I’ve been trying to create a video tutorial for a Smokey Eye look all week after someone requested it on Facebook but it seems like the world is against me on this one.
The first time I tried, I just didn’t get good enough footage because I’m still a rookie. On my second attempt, I got the footage but it refuses to play on my computer. It just crashes any software that I try to open it with, including the editing program! Très frustrating!
So anyway, here are my takes on the ever classic smokey eye and it’s companion, the smokey nail!
    I used:
    E.L.F. Eyelid Primer
    Bourjois Eyeshadow – Blanc
    17 Solo Eyeshadow – Thunderbolt
    MUA Eyeshadow – Shade 20
    E.L.F. Cream Eyeliner – Black
    Jerome Alexander Mascara
I think I’ll try one more time to make a tutorial for this look but if the universe can find yet another way to tell me that it’s just not meant to be, I’ll have to concede!
I created a (sort of) gradient using one sponge and three colours. I utilised a combination of dabbing and dragging the sponge
    Collection 2000 – White
    La Femme – Grey Cream
    Rimmel – Black Satin
    Top coat of NYC
I’m going camping this week so I won’t be blogging. I have one holiday inspired nail art post scheduled for Wednesday and I should be back to blogging by the weekend.

EOTD 5: Inspired Soft Summer Pastels

I’m currently catching up on a few episodes of Angry Boys. I really think Chris Lilley is a comedic genius! The humour isn’t to everyone’s taste but I think he does such a good job of making his characters relatable, I would definitely recommend watching it (and Summer Heights High if you get the chance!). I also have yesterday’s True Blood to watch and when my little brothers get home we’ll be watching WWE’s big Money in the Bank match. Only someone spoiled it for me on Twitter yesterday so I already know who wins. Boo.
Here is a quick look inspired by my favourite flowery headband…
    I used:
    MUA Eyeshadow – Shades 1, 6 and 4
E.L.F. Cream Eyeliner – Metallic Olive

    EOTD 5

I moved home from University today so everything is all over the place and I don’t know how I’m going to fit two rooms worth of stuff in to just one! It’s incredible, the sheer amount of ‘stuff’ that you can accumulate. Seems like not much of it is actually that important but I still feel like I need it all!

Thanks for all the links you guys left on yesterday’s post where I asked if anyone knew of any British Nail Bloggers! I’ve put them all together on a separate page and I’ll keep adding as I discover more. Click here to see the page. You can find the page at any time in the sidebar, just click on ‘Best of British’.

Thanks for the great response to my EOTD’s. I honestly didn’t think they would solicit much of a response but you seem to like them so I’ll keep them coming!
I hope you like the little animation I made. It was a last minute idea so the make-up’s already been on for a few hours and is not perfect, but in the future I’ll definitely be trying to do GIFs like this for my EOTD posts.
On my last EOTD post, Alice asked what brushes I use so I thought I’d show you. Here they are…
The short and wide one on the left is E.L.F.’s eyeshadow brush which you can buy here. The other two are from the brand, ‘Royal’ and I picked them up in Poundland. They’re both the same but I use one for light shades and one for darker colours.

    EOTD 2

This is a look I wear all the time when I go on a night out, normally false eyelashes added in too to add to the party peeper look! It’s my twist on a classic smokey eye, I use a dark purple which I think compliments my eye colour better than heavy black or grey.
