Tadashi Shoji Nail Art Contest Entry

I was so honoured to be invited by the people at Tadashi Shoji, a clothing designer, to create a nail art design based on pieces from their SS13 collection. Of course, I jumped at the chance and here we are today!

Myself and a few other incredible nail bloggers have submitted nail art and the winning design will inspire a limited edition clutch bag from the designer.

My design was based on this dress. As soon as the model cam out on to the runway wearing this, I audibly gasped and I knew it would be the one to inspire my nails. I really can't resist a pretty blue!

I used Barry M White as my base colour and then stamped using Bundle Monster plate BM21 and No7 Poolside Blue. I was going to freehand the lace design but I chickened out at the last minute and decided to play it safe with a stamp!

I used No7 Poolside Blue again for the half moons using a small nail art brush and finally I added an accent around the moon using GOSH Pool Party. I used two coats of Essence Better Than Gel Nails to finish it off.
