Chrome + Stamping / Gradient = AWESOME

chrome-gradient-stamping-07

If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen a very coy sneak peek of these nails yesterday and since it’s my absolute favourite mani for a while I had to honour them with a blog post. I also wanted somewhere to put the video tutorial so you guys could see how I got the gradient effect in the stamp. So, hey if you’re back here from Instagram!

CIA = Color is Awesome is easily my favourite shade from the OPI Washington DC collection. It’s a perfectly dark and mysterious teal that is gonna look bitchin’ on my shorties when paired with a pair of fingerless gloves. For real, I still wear them! So anyway, I put that down as my base colour and then started rummaging for my stamping supplies. I picked out pink and blue chrome shades for the stamping which I blended to create a gradient, with a subtle purple emerging from the mix. Check out the video at the end of this post to see how it’s done!

Shoutout (again!) to the clear stamper which is the reason for the nicely aligned patterns. Couldn’t have done it without you, buddy!
