Nail Art for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

As I'm sure many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I wanted to help spread the awareness in a little way by creating some pink nail art! I never know how to write posts like this as Cancer is a topic that hits close to home for so many of us, myself included, and affects a lot of people in different ways so I'll keep it short and sweet.
The most shocking statistic I've read is the fact that someone is diagnosed with Breast Cancer every 10 minutes. I think this really helps put things in to perspective. Just in the time it took me to put this post together, 3 people have been given news that will change their lives. I must admit, I'm not the best at checking myself but this month I must have copped a feel more than once a week thanks to everyone spreading awareness of the disease!

I used Sally Hansen Crinolin and W7 Baby Pink as my base colours.
The glitter is Sally Hansen Razzle Dazzle and I freehanded on the ribbon using Models Own Bubblegum and a nail art brush.
It's all topped off with two coats of Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat.

  4. Very nice, for an extremely important cause.
I will probably try and recreate it on my blog, if it's ok!

  6. Love the contrast between the playful pinks on the thumb and index and the more classic nude "pink". Great design for a good cause!

Is the color on your thumb the W7 polish you mentioned?

  9. This is so pretty and girly, I kind of love it! I used it as inspiration for my own breast cancer awareness nail art, I posted it on my twitter (same username as above) if anyone wants to take a look :)
