Sonnetarium Swatches: Peppermint Kiss, Samurai Princess, Lenten Rose and Snowfall

Evening everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas Day and managed to gorge yourself on as much good food and drink as possible. We all ate so much at lunch time that we had to completely skip over Christmas tea, which NEVER happens!
Today, I have a lengthy swatch post for you featuring some gorgeous polishes from Sonnetarium.net. When Michelle, the very talented creator of Sonnetarium, got in touch to see if I would like to swatch a few of the polishes from her collection, I jumped at the chance. Her polishes are breathtaking and some of the best indie polishes I’ve ever laid eyes on. You can tell Michelle is a true perfectionist and it shines through in her polishes. The formula in every bottle is flawless and she really knows how to mix her glitters.

First up is Peppermint Kiss from the Winter 2012 collection. It’s a selection of Red, White and Green glitter in a milky white base which contains just a hint of pink. These swatches are one coat of Peppermint Kiss over two coats of Sally Hansen Ion.

Lenten Rose is also part of the Winter 2012 collection. A clear base with teeny iridescent flakes, small white hexes and larger pink hexes, this would also look great over a light base colour. I applied two coats of Lenten Rose over Sally Hansen Plum Luck.
Moving on to my picks of the core collection, this beautiful black and white glitter is Samurai Princess. Can we just stop for a second and really process that name? It’s amazing!
This is the first Black and White glitter I’ve ever owned. I can remember when they were all the rage but I never had a lemming for one until Sarah at Chalkboard Nails (aka The Queen of Black and White glitter) started posting them left right and centre. So this has filled a big void in my heart. The mix of bar glitter and hexes is just right.
These swatches are two coats of Samurai Princess over 2 coats of Rimmel Grey Matter.

And finally, we have Snowfall. I knew I would like this polish as soon as I saw the picture but was not expecting to love it quite as much as I do. You could wear this white and iridescent glitter with absolutely any base colour. It’s definitely my favourite from the bunch and may have started a ‘thing‘ between me and white glitter!
Here you see one coat of Snowfall over two coats of Deborah Lippmann Fashion.

You can buy Sonnetarium polishes directly from Sonnetarium.net in 9ml ($6.00) or 15ml ($8.50) bottles and they ship worldwide!
