I had an exciting evening last night which is which meant I didn't sit down in front of a computer all evening, which NEVER happens! I finally got myself a new phone, the Samsung Galaxy SIII, which made me realise how ancient my previous model, the Nokia 5800, really is. I also picked up a Helmer so I can claim back a lot of surface space in my room that's been lost to bottles of nail polish! I haven't had a chance to assemble it yet but I'm sure that will be another highlight to the week. I'm not even being sarcastic right there, I genuinely love me a bit of flat pack furniture!
Winter is most definitely coming. This week I really started noticing it when I have to force myself out of bed in the mornings. Stepping out of a hot shower in to a cold room is one of my least favourite feelings ever! I used to look forward to the winter but this year was the first time I ever really enjoyed the summer weather and I'm going to miss it.
My base colour is GOSH Pool Party and I used GOSH Metallic Blue to stamp on a snowflake design from Bundle Monster Plate BM323. I added some holographic glequins from Born Pretty Store to add an extra icy feel and finished it off with a top coat of No7 Stay Perfect.

Really pretty. Winter really is coming: I started knitting my husband a Christmas jumper at the weekend! Got a helmer last week, too! DEAD EASY to put together. It all just kind of slots in place! How's the new top coat working out for you?
ReplyDeleteSo far, fairly okay. I had some bad chipping today but I don't know if that's due to the top coat or the polish underneath x
DeleteGood, I'm glad. But as a fellow "original factory shop" shopper, I just thought you might like to know I've recently bought the Sally Hansen double duty one there for only 3 quid. Dunno what it's like for sheet marks as I tend to do my "painting" during the day but I've found it to be very good so far.
DeleteIt's simplicity is beautiful. I do not look forward to the snow coming even if it is beautiful. lol
ReplyDeleteOh wow that is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is simply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI totally thought you were doing "Game of Thrones" mani by the title. That's the Starks saying, "Winter is coming" :) It's still really cute. :D

Oh my gosh. HOW DID I NOT SEE THAT?!?! They are *amazing*! :D
DeleteThis is really pretty! Glad you're excited about your helmer - I got mine about a month ago and I was just as excited about furniture lol! My house is so much less cluttered with polish bottles/supplies now! :]
ReplyDeleteThis is so Pretty!
ReplyDeleteI suffered with a lot of smudging and a lot of chipping with No 7 Top Coat but i know they've recently released a new line that might be an improvement. Also, these look great, I wish I could even vaguely stamp as well as you!
ReplyDeleteOoh love it - pinned you in my stamping album!
ReplyDeleteGah! I want that phone so so so bad! :( Looks amazing! love your nails!
ReplyDeleteJazz x
Amazing! I love the glequins in the middles of the snowflakes... they're fabulous.
ReplyDeleteYou have the cutest little nails, I love them! I don't want to think about winter though, booooo!
ReplyDeletebrrr making me chilly!
ReplyDeleteI know... I don't think I'm ready for Winter yet, I live in Canada!... however, I am ready for Game of Thrones hehe

ReplyDeleteYES! Thank you! I love Winter, despite the cold. You've made me so happy, just seeing someone do Winter nails already made my day :) Lovely stamping - blue and silver is one of my favorite color combos. very nice.
ReplyDeleteGreat stamping!
ReplyDeleteThis is really gorgeous! And I love assembling IKEA furniture too ♥.
ReplyDeleteSuper nice! And I love that base GOSH!
ReplyDeletesuper pretty :D
ReplyDeleteEurgh I HATE getting out of a warm shower and it's freezing. Worst feeling ever :(. These look really cute, love the little gems you added to make it a bit special!
ReplyDeleteReally appeals to my eyeballs. I can only wish that winter was on the horizon. here in Calif. we have been going through the hottest part of the year and I live in the central northern part of the state - but have had temps over 100. MELT - still waiting for fall to hit here. I am ready to wear long jeans and put my shorts and crops away.
ReplyDeleteI love this Sammy!
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful and so very frosty! Perfection. I love the metallic flakes.
I am always sad to see summer go, so I am feeling the same as you right about now.
I am glad that to know you have enjoyed some lovely warm summer days in Wales this year : )
I am dreading the cold here in Sonoma County. It has been up to 100 this week here, but it is going to begin cooling down today I think. The high is supposed to be 71 today here.
I think the winter weather here is similar to South Wales, but we don't ever get snow. It is a wet cold!
And that is the weather report, back to regular programming!

First and foremost, LOVE the manicure! The glequins add just the right amount of sparkle. Second, I have a Samsung Galaxy SII and I am SO in love with it now that I've got it figured out! I am sure you will love the new phone once you get over the learning curve like I did LOL. Last, winter can't get here soon enough! I lived in Southern Florida in the US for many years and never could tolerate the heat and humidity of year round weather down there (or summers up in PA where I reside now). How are the winters in your area, do you ever get snow? The Almanac suggests that this winter will be particularly cold and stormy for us in the Northeastern US, so I am anxiously awaiting the first flakes!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Leslie :)
*squeal* I LOVE SNOWFLAKES MORE THAN PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING EVER!
ReplyDeleteI refuse to give up on warm weather just yet... but man I can't wait to wear manis like this again. You did such a great job, the colours and stamping and glequins are all just perfect <3
Getting out of the warm shower is bad, but IMO getting out of warm bed in the morning is worse D:
Gorgeous! Here I was thinking about doing some fall manis and you've already been inspired by the next season:-) Love the colour combi.
ReplyDeleteSIII seems amazing :-)
Gorgeous winter mani! I absolutely hate the feeling of getting out of a warm shower and feeling that piercing cold too, but I'm excited for fall at least until it gets too cold :)
ReplyDeleteFall is barely here for us in California! But these are pretty...I recently got myself a Helmer too. I built it but I hate the way it looks so I'm in the process of updating it to make it cute :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Your stamps are always so clean and your ideas are great! I'm excited for winter--I love the snow! ^_^
