I finally went to see The Avengers (or is it Avengers Assemble now?!) today! It was released last week here in the UK but today was the first chance I got to go and see it!
Of course, I loved it but I was distraught to find that there was no stinger at the end of the credits. Even though I'd already read that there was no final surprise on the UK release, I waited right until the very end out of habit and defiance anyway! I almost feel cheated that I went to see a Marvel movie and there was no credit cookie!
Well these are the nails I wore which I kind of threw on last night but you can see some more in detail Avengers nail art from the archives here.
The base colour is Rimmel My Denim and I used a coat of Girly Bits Cosmic Ocean on my pointer for a bit of sparkle. I used Barry M Silver Foil and black acrylic paint for the 'A'.
I'm slowly falling in love with Rimmel polish. I've been finding a lot of them at bargain prices recently and although I probably wouldn't pay full price (£3-5) for them, I find myself reaching for the ones in my collection a lot recently.

ReplyDeleteThe Rimmel polishes - both the 60 second and Lycra types - are as good as any, and less expensive than most! I like them so much so, that before I moved back to the Western Hemisphere where I wasn't sure I'd be able to get them, I bought half a dozen bottles of my favourites to bring home.
It was such a great movie! I hope you enjoyed as much as I did!

ReplyDeleteAlso, we got the end-credit scene over here in Canada. Someone will put up a cam version on YouTube. Seek it out, it's worth it!
Love these, I also did some Avenger nails. I think your A came out better than mine though and that's a great color blue. I have a few Rimmel 60 second polishes but they're all some kind of weird sparkle shimmer thing.

ReplyDeleteIn the USA, we technically had two credit bits. One after the animated credits, but before the long list of credits rolled on black - it was Thanos talking, a set up for Avengers 2. And after everything is over, there's a clip of all six Avengers just eating sandwiches in silence, for like thirty seconds. It's a little goofy.
I went to watch it last night.. but we got the stinger.. hmmm..
